West Bengal minister Dr Shashi Panja, who is defending her seat from Shyampukur in northern Kolkata, has movable assets worth over Rs 2 crore.
According to her affidavit filed before the Election Commission, the 51-year-old has movable assets including cash in hand, bank balance, investments, car, jewellery, totalling Rs 2.19 crore.
Dr Panja, who holds the portfolio of Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare and Social Welfare, earned Rs 18.4 lakh during the year 2014-15, her affidavit said.
She, however, doesn't own any immovable assets while her husband Dr Prasun Kr Panja owns many properties worth over Rs 2.3 crore.
Assets worth over Rs 68 lakh are in the name of their two daughters, her affidavit stated.
