Vadodara: A whale shark was found dead on the shore of Mandavi beach in Modhava village of Kutch district, forest officials said today.
"The mammoth fish was found dead on the shore of Mandavi beach in Modhava village yesterday morning. It was spotted by some fishermen who alerted forest officials," district assistant forest officer Indrasinh K Barad told PTI.
It was about 4.5 feet long and was buried at the beach side after veterinary doctors conducted a postmortem at the same spot, he said.
