New Delhi:
After the Mangalore crash, Air India sent a special flight for relatives of the victims. No Air India engineer was available to clear the flight, so the airline used an engineer from Kingfisher Airlines.
This upset the Air India engineers and they issued a media release saying that Air India has flouted norms.
Air India then issued a show-cause notice to engineers and directed them not to speak to the media.
Agitated by this, the engineers called a flash strike which was joined by other ground staff.
