What should top the new Finance Minister's agenda?

Since the announcement of the election dates to the swearing-in, it's been a long walk to power for the new government and an eventful summer for the people. So, after voting for stability, democratic values and good governance, now it's time for action! Action on your part! As the new Union Cabinet plans to come up with its first 100-day plan, tell us what's your vision for the country in the next five years and what are your expectations from the leaders you have chosen to represent your aspirations?

Last week we ran a poll inviting your choices for India's Dream Cabinet. While some of your preferences have been met, a few may have taken you by surprise. As per the poll results, 46 per cent wanted to see Montek Singh Ahluwalia as the new Finance Minister while only 16 per cent voted for Pranab Mukherjee. But now that the government has announced all the big portfolios and Mukherjee has been retained as the Finance Minister, let's move to the next phase and set the agenda for the minister. In the past too, the seasoned politician steered key ministries like Finance and External Affairs besides heading a number of GoMs.
