Ahmedabad:
Amitabh Bachchan and Narendra Modi playing on the same field. No, it's not political games we're talking about, but golf. The inaugural Gujarat Kensville Open at the state's first 18-hole golf course in Ahmedabad not only brought the two onto the greens but also saw Gujarat go the golf way.
When Modi, the Chief Minister of a very 'Vibrant Gujarat', tried his hand at golf, he was joined by none other than the state's tourism ambassador Amitabh Bachchan.
"Once I retire from making films, maybe I can look at golf," Big B said.
"There is a big business opportunity associated with sports and that's what caught the attention of Gujratis," Modi added.
Business interests aside, Ahmedabad was certainly a happy hunting ground for Gaganjeet Bhullar. The youngster from Kapurthala won his 3rd international title.
"G for G - G for Gujarat and G for Gaganjeet," a smiling CM applauded.
With Ahmedabad becoming only the third city in India to host an international golf event, Modi certainly looked a happy man. Clearly both golf and Gujarat are truly shining.
