Who deactivated Geetika Sharma's Facebook account?
New Delhi: The police, probing the Geetika Sharma suicide case, have found out that the former air hostess' Facebook account, which was active after her death, has been found deactivated. While the family claims they didn't have Geetika's password, police suspect that someone close to Mr Gopal Goyal Kanda, accused of abetting 23-year-old Geetika's suicide, could have done so.

Mr Kanda has been arrested after he surrendered at the Ashok Vihar police station in New Delhi today. He had been absconding for the last 10 days. His anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court on Friday; a trial court had had issued a non-bailable warrant against the former Haryana minister on Wednesday.

It has also emerged in the investigation that Aruna Chaddha, a co-accused in the case, had passwords of several employees of now defunct MDLR Airlines, which was owned by Mr Kanda and where Ms Sharma worked as a flight attendant. Though Ms Chaddha has denied it, the police have now asked cyber experts to probe this. Ms Chaddha was arrested on August 8.

Geetika Sharma hanged herself at her Delhi home on August 5; she named Mr Kanda and his employee, Aruna Chaddha, in a suicide note, saying they had been harassing her. Mr Kanda, before he went missing, had denied any harassment of Ms Sharma, who had worked in several of his companies in the last six years.
