The Kartavya Path would be the centre of festivities where a magnificent parade featuring units of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Police and paramilitary groups will take place on January 26.
Who is the Chief Guest for Republic Day 2024?
This year, French President Emmanuel Macron is the chief guest at Republic Day celebrations. He landed at the Jaipur airport on Thursday. The President visited Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal in Jaipur.
Later, he travelled to Delhi to witness the Republic Day Parade as the Chief Guest on January 26.
The upcoming Republic Day celebrations will feature a ceremonial welcome for President Macron. The main event will begin with the Republic Day parade at 10:30 AM, displaying India's rich heritage and cultural diversity.
Following the parade, the function will showcase cultural programmes celebrating India's artistic diversity, alongside spotlighting the nation's military strength.
The day will end with the French President's attendance at the 'At Home' Reception hosted by the President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
