New Delhi: Who will Arvind Kejriwal send to the Vidhan Sabha of Punjab, a border state that has been repeatedly struck by terrorists, union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal has asked in a fierce attack on the Aam Aadmi Party over its lawmaker Bhagwant Mann's live stream of Parliament on Facebook.

"We come from such a border state where the enemies of our country try to get in from Dinapur, Pathankot, with ammunition...I want to know what action will Kejriwal take after he got to know that his MP has put several lives in danger," said Ms Badal, who is an Akali Dal leader and the wife of Sukhbir Badal, deputy chief minister of Punjab, where her party takes on Mr Kejriwal's party in assembly elections soon.

Accusing Mr Mann of a huge security breach, she recalled the 2008 Mumbai terror attack and Lashkar-e-Taiba operative David Headley's reconnaissance of sites in Mumbai months before. "We have not forgotten what David Headley did. He recorded the Gateway of India and the Taj while he lived in it and see what happened after that," the minister said.

Amid a call across political parties for strong action against Mr Mann, Ms Badal has demanded that the 42-year-old MP from Punjab's Sangrur be banned from entering Parliament while it is investigated why he shot the video.

"This type of person should not be allowed to enter the Punjab assembly," Ms Badal also said, adding, "We should beware of such members and Arvind Kejriwal should answer who all is he sending to the Vidhan Sabha."

In his 12-minute video, Mr Mann has shot security checkpoints, even pointing at sensors and describing the system, and also inside the Lok Sabha. Summoned by the Speaker, he has offered to apologise but said other parties "are playing politics" by asking for his resignation.

Punjab votes in early 2017 and Arvind Kejriwal hopes to repeat his party's success in last year's Delhi election. Punjab was the only state where Mr Kejriwal's AAP won seats in the 2014 national election - four including Mr Mann's.

Punjab has traditionally seen the Congress and the Akali Dal battle it out in state elections and they won alternately till five years ago, when the Akali Dal, along with ally BJP, was voted back to power.
