Esther Anuhya's father Jonathan S Prasad
New Delhi:
More than a week after his daughter Esther Anuhya's body was found decomposed and burnt in a swamp near a major highway on the outskirts of Mumbai, S Jonathan Prasad met Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Friday to plead for help.
Mr Shinde then wrote to Maharashtra's Home Minister RR Patil, asking for "swift action" and the identification of Esther's killers. (

Despite the Home Minister's assurance and the letter to Maharashtra government, Mr Prasad says he was not satisfied. He remained in Delhi and today met the Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav. (

"I could not get any consolation from the Home Minister, so I thought of meeting AAP. We wanted to give them (AAP) information so that they can raise their voice," Mr Prasad said.
"He (Yogendra) talked to his party men in Mumbai to take up the case," he added.
Four auto drivers suspected of killing the 23-year-old woman were detained today by the Mumbai Police, who Mr Prasad had accused of not cooperating in looking for Esther's killers, an allegation dismissed by the cops today.
"Why didn't they speak all these days? From the beginning, they did not show any concern. Let them come out with a result," Mr Prasad said.
