Hyderabad: The most popular personality this election in Andhra Pradesh is Chiranjeevi. He is being watched keenly by his critics and admirers. But is this an election where he will be able to make a breakthrough or will he play spoiler?
The biggest political release in the runup to these elections was Chiranjeevi's Prajarajyam. Wherever the megastar went, it looked like a blockbuster - whether it will get him the ticket to sit in the seat of power was the big question.
"People's verdict is with Praja Rajyam," said Chiranjeevi.
Chiranjeevi claimed he would bring about social justice, and so was giving tickets to over hundred BC candidates.
"We have given maximum number of seats for BC candidates - 95 middle class families, I have personally met 15 of them who are very very normal house wives, very normal people."
Chiranjeevi's party is contesting all the seats in Telangana, but it is in the coastal region that he is hoping to make the dent. With critics saying the crowds may not turn into votes, Chiranjeevi's party may end up just the one to spoilt the party for the others in the race.
