Tirupati: It is a big day in Andhra Pradesh which completed voting on Thursday for both a new Assembly as well as for the Lok Sabha.
And with that, the fate of three possible chief ministers have been sealed - Y S Rajasekhar Reddy of the Congress, Chandrababu Naidu of the TDP and the man who's being seen as the game changer in Andhra Pradesh - Chiranjeevi. Coastal Andhra which is seen as Chiranjeevi's territory also voted on Thursday.
A few hours before voters sealed his fate, Chiranjeevi and his family were in Tirumala.
When asked if he was praying that the best man should win or not, president of the Praja Rajyam Party said, "Yes. Good people are always blessed."
And when NDTV asked his son, Ram Charan, whether he was praying that his Dad becomes CM, Ram Charan replied with confidence, "I am sure he will be CM."
When Chiranjeevi launched his party from Tirupati in August, it looked all set to become a major political hit. But in the run up to the box office electoral verdict, it seems the movie moghul will end up a kingmaker, rather than king with his party playing spoiler in most segments.
However, wherever Chiranjeevi goes, there are star-struck voters hoping to become political hero.
