New Delhi: The Special Investigation Team or SIT, set up by the Supreme Court to monitor the probe into untaxed or black money stashed in foreign bank accounts, told NDTV that advertisements will be put for the public to share information. Justice (Retd.) MB Shah and Justice (Retd.) Arijit Pasayat, who are in the panel, also said that no one will be spared. The investigation will be completed by March, next year.

Here are the highlights:

  • It is realistic, we will try to achieve the object that is sought to be achieved by the Supreme Court
  • 100% confident that we will meet the March 31 deadline
  • Nodal agency would be necessary for the purpose of coordination... we need specific functionaries to do investigation, coordination
  • Supreme Court wants to expedite investigation
  • We are putting out advertisement for people to put out specific data... We want specific details to be given otherwise all sorts of letters and information will come and that will add to the burden of work
  • There are other names apart from the 627 names shared with the Supreme Court
  • Don't agree that the big fish will get away... Nobody is big or small before us... Whoever looted this country will be caught and punished both economically and otherwise... We are well known for doing it at the discomfort of many people
  • Confidentiality is an international agreement, you can't violate it
