No stranger to controversies, independent Jammu and Kashmir legislator Engineer Rashid sparked a fresh row on Wednesday after he was seen in a video clip telling somebody that he will "hand him over" to the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba tonight.
According to the local BJP unit, Mr Rashid and his supporters who were sitting on a protest in Pulwama, about 40 km from Srinagar, got into a scuffle with some supporters of the party.
According to a witness, someone among BJP supporters allegedly called Mr Rashid a terrorist and he retorted saying he will hand him over to the Lashkar. In the video clip, however, it is unclear who the apparent threat is addressed to.
