Ghaziabad: A young woman was allegedly kidnapped by four men and gang-raped in a moving car before being dumped on a road in Noida in the suburbs of Delhi. She has told the police that she was also burnt with cigarettes.
The 22-year-old woman, who works at the mall, has alleged that she was assaulted by her estranged boyfriend and his friends. One of the accused men is a minor, the police say.
The woman was allegedly pulled into the car from outside a mall in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, where she works, and raped repeatedly before being left on the road near a hospital in Noida around midnight.
The police say there were injuries on the woman's private parts.
"There was a rape complaint earlier too by her. We are investigating," he told reporters.
The woman's friends have reportedly told the police that she had been threatened by these men.
Reports had suggested that the woman had gone to the police seeking protection earlier.
