Bhagalpur: A ceiling fan fell down and injured a woman at a pandal when the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was addressing members of Jeevika society in Bhagalpur at Sandish compound ground of Bhagalpur town.
Senior Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar said that the injured woman has been admitted to Jawaharlal Medical College and hospital.
Ranju Devi, who is the member of Jeevika, belonged to Ismailpur village of Naugachhia sub-division of the district.
Civil surgeon Dr Vijay Kumar said that the woman is out of danger.
The incident occurred when Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was addressing members of the Jeevika society.
The incident triggered panic among the women who started creating noisy scenes.
The chief minister had to stop his speech for a while till normalcy was restored after the moderator appealed to them to maintain peace and calm.
The chief minister completed his speech after the injured woman was rushed to the hospital.
