Ladakh:
Even as work on border road construction in Jammu and Kashmir was stopped after Chinese objection, Arunachal Chief Minister Doorjee Khandu asserted that his government will not succumb to any such pressure.
Khandu said China has no right to object to infrastructure development in Arunachal Pradesh as the state is an "integral part of India".
"The development work would not be stopped just because somebody says that this land belongs to him. Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India. China cannot object to any development of infrastructure on our land. We are not bothered about their claims," Khandu added.
The work on a link-road in Demchok in South-eastern Ladakh region has been stopped after objections were raised by the Chinese Army. (Read: India caved to China's objections on key road?)
