New Delhi:

After the Sunday shock and the minor mishap on Monday the morale of Delhi metros' unsung heroes, the migrant labourers is low, they say they are worried for their safety but the work must go on.

While Delhizens sleep the workers toil through the night on the capital's dream project - the metro rail.

Sudhir has to work to ensure he sends money home to his old parents in Varanasi.

But after two accidents within 24 hours at metro construction site he is not sure how long he can ignore his fear.

"What can I do, I have to work. I am looking for job, the moment I get one I will leave this job as my parents are also worried," said Sudhir, electrician.

After losing some of their fellow workers the morale of the workforce is low but they are stretching their limits to finish the job assigned.

We come at around 6 pm and work till morning," said a construction site worker.

The workers say they are worried and are trying to protect themselves as much as they can. But deadlines have to be met, so whether it's the early hours of the morning or the middle of the night work here goes on.
