New Delhi:
Members of the National Students Union of India (NSUI), which is the youth wing of the Congress, protested outside BJP President Rajnath Singh's house in the capital this afternoon, raising the pitch against convicted ministers in Narendra Modi's cabinet.
At least one Gujarat minister Babu Lal Bokheria is convicted in an illegal mining case; he is out on bail.
This comes just a day after BJP workers protested outside Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's house in the national capital demanding action against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, who faces allegations of corruption.
Mr Singh has been accused by the BJP of taking a bribe for granting extension to a private power firm for a project. Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley has written to the Prime Minister seeking to know to what action he, the Congress President and Vice President would take against Mr Singh.
Mr Singh has rejected the charges against him as "false and highly defamatory" and has said he is ready to face any enquiry ordered by the Prime Minster.
The Congress, while dismissing the allegations, has dared the BJP to move court or approach appropriate investigating agencies if it has any proof.
