New Delhi:
The helicopter crash that killed former Andhra Chief Minister YSR Reddy was an accident, says the CBI in a report submitted on Friday.
The report rules our sabotage and conspiracy.
YSR died when his helicopter crashed in the Nallamalla forests of Andhra's Kurnool district in September, 2009. Four others, including two pilots, died with him.
Despite rigorous lobbying by YSR loyalists for his son, Jaganmohan Reddy, the Congress selected Finance Minister K Rosaiah to take over as Chief Minister. It was Rosaiah who requested Home Minister P Chidambaram to sanction a CBI investigation on the helicopter crash.
