Ajmer: President Asif Ali Zardari will be the fourth Pakistani head of state or government to visit the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.
His wife Benazir Bhutto and former presidents Zia-ul-Haq and Pervez Musharraf also visited the shrine, which attracts tens of thousands every day.
"The shrine has always been a great source of communal harmony and national integrity," said Mohammad Ahmed, a resident of Dargah area in the town, around 150 km from the Rajasthan capital Jaipur.
"Everyone comes with some desire and prayer," he added.
The 12th century shrine has attracted pilgrims from the US, Africa, Europe, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Myanmar and Afghanistan besides India.
