Zohal seeks to quash charges against Pomersbach
New Delhi: US national Zohal Hamid on Thursday moved the Delhi High Court to quash the first information report (FIR) filed against Indian Premier League (IPL) player Luke Pomersbach following her complaint that he had molested her.

Pomersbach had been arrested May 18 after Ms Hamid alleged that she had been molested in a five-star hotel here. She also said that the Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) player had beaten her fiance Sahil Peerzada.

Ms Hameed had claimed that she was with her fiance at a party when they met the cricketer. She said the player later insisted on having a drink with her and her fiance and "tagged along" as they went back to their hotel room. When they refused and she tried to leave the hotel suite, she said the cricketer tried to grab her. When her fiance stepped in, the cricketer allegedly punched him.
