Singapore: A 31-year-old Indian national and an Indonesian domestic help were found dead in a hotel room in
Geylang in Singapore, according to local media reports.
The body of Chinasamy Baskar, who has worked in the construction sector in Singapore for five years, was reportedly found hanging in a hotel room on Monday evening, while the 29-year-old Indonesian woman was found dead with her throat slit.
The High Commission of India said it was in touch with Mr Baskar's family and arrangement would be made to send back his body, after police investigation was completed.
Mr Baskar, who was not married, was described as hard-working by his employer, who did not want to be named.
Arrangements were also being made to send back the body of the domestic help, Ruli Widyawati, to her home in Solo, near Yogyakarta in Indonesia.
She was married with two children in Indonesia, said the reports.
Police have classified the case as unnatural deaths.
