Dubai: A 60-year-old Indian man was killed in a pile-up traffic accident in Ras Al Khaimah city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a newspaper reported on Wednesday.
Four others received moderate to minor injuries in the 26-vehicle pile-up on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem road, the Khaleej Times reported.
The accident happened due to a dense fog and low visibility in the early peak hours, police sources said.
The unidentified Indian, who was the only passenger who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition.
"The victim sustained serious injuries and fractures, mainly in his head, and bled excessively due to the impact of the accident. He ... could not survive," the daily said.
