Dubai: A security staff of the building told police that the man committed suicide as he suffered from financial problems, police said.
The police, however, did not rule out possible murder angle and has initiated a probe into the matter.
A 39-year-old Indian national in the UAE allegedly tried to commit suicide today by jumping off the roof of a three-storey building, a media report said.
The man, identified only by his initials PHA, has been admitted to a private hospital in Sharjah in critical condition, it said.
The incident was noticed after the man was found lying in a pool of blood by local residents who then informed the police, an official was quoted as saying by the Gulf News.
The police, however, did not rule out possible murder angle and has initiated a probe into the matter.
