An Indian-origin man faces a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment on child pornography counts.
New York:
A 29-year old Indian-origin man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of producing and possessing material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor.
Mukesh Khawas of Pittsburgh was named in the three-count indictment, US Attorney David Hickton said.
He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment on child pornography counts and a fine of USD 765,000, along with a lifetime term of supervised release.
According to the indictment, Khawas knowingly received images and produced visual depictions and images of the sexual exploitation of a minor.
