Singapore: A 49-year-old Indian-origin soldier in Singapore has died after he was found unconscious under mysterious circumstances, prompting a police probe into the incident.
Jude Sebastian Vincent, Master Warrant Officer of Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) was found unconscious at Stagmont Camp yesterday, the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) said in a statement.
Vincent was given first-aid and shifted to a nearby hospital where he pronounced dead.
"The SAF Medical Officer and medics continued to resuscitate him en route to the hospital. Vincent was pronounced dead at 11.54 am," the statement said.
A police investigation will be conducted into his death, the SAF said.
