Dubai: A 32-year-old Indian woman was found hanging from the ceiling fan at her house in the UAE, media reported on Sunday.
Police said that the woman, identified only with her initials AF, allegedly committed suicide at her apartment in Al Nahda area. She was diagnosed with cancer.
After receiving information of the death, Sharjah Police launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death, Khaleej Times reported.
Hospital authorities said that the woman had died seven hours before she was brought to the hospital.
The Public Prosecutor has asked for the body of the deceased to be moved to the forensic laboratory to establish if this is suicide or a criminal act. Further investigations were underway.
