Thiruvananthapuram: Dr Abraham Kuruvilla, professor of Neurology at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, in Thiruvananthapuram has been awarded the fellowship of Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
The fellowship, FRCP, was awarded by Professor Derek Bell, President of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh at an award ceremony held on June 26 at the Queen Mother Conference Centre in the Royal College of Edinburgh, UK, a press release in Thiruvananthapuram said.
Mr Kuruvilla is an American Board certified Academic Neurologist in India holding sub-speciality certification in Clinical Neurophysiology, Neuromuscular Medicine and Vascular Neurology (Stroke).
He is a WHO International Consultant in stroke and had successfully set-up state-of-the art Stroke Program and Acute Stroke Unit (ASU) at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the release said.
