Jaipur: Six persons were killed and 14 others injured when a pick up van in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary truck on Jaipur-Delhi Highway at Kotputali in the wee hours today, police said.
Twenty people, belonging to West Bengal, were on their way from Mahendragarh in Haryana to Jaipur when the incident took place at NH 8 around 2:50 am, they said.
The deceased have been identified as Summi (19), Rinkidas (20), Babita (7), Bissukadas (11), Sriaj (2) and Anwar (45), from West Bengal, police said.
Seven injured persons were referred to Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur and the remaining have been shifted to Kotputali hospital, they said.
