Jaipur:
It was perfect leisure Sunday for Jaipurites as the maximum and minimum temperatures dropped considerably and the citizens were seen enjoying the sun throughout the day.
While the maximum temperature has dropped to 21.8 degrees Celsius, a deviation of four degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature also dipped below normal by a degree to 9.1 degrees in Pink City. The sky was clear however, the sun rays lacked the usual sting while the easterly wind brought a chill in the air. The Met department says the tempera ture is likely to drop further.
"The minimum tempera ture is not likely to change during the next 48 hours over parts of north-west and central India. However, it would fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius thereafter" he said. Manish Sharma, a resident of Jawahar Nagar, spent his day with friends listening to music and zipping around on his bike in the afternoon.
"After long time, I got an opportunity to enjoy Sunday because last week it was raining and we were not able to go out" he said. Vinita Thakur said "Be it enjoying a cup of coffee with colleagues or chilling out in malls with a bunch of friends, youngsters were seen all over the city joints." She also said that it did not seem to complain about the unpredictable weather.
If weather remained same, we might give college and tuition classes a miss. "I hardly remember enjoying rain in December last year" said Rita Bhansali. "If temperature is likely to fall at this rate, certainly, we would think of changing the school timings especially for primary section," said Rita Khanna, principal of preparatory school.
