Jaipur: A former BJP state minister, an ex-MP and two police officers were among 17 people booked for allegedly sexually abusing a woman, police said on Monday.
Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jaipur, had director that a case be registered against former MP Nihal Chand Mowal, junior minister in erstwhile BJP government Jogeshwar Garg and police officers, Amil Rao and Mahavir, along with 13 others.
They have been booked under sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 343 (wrongful confinement for three or more days), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC, Vaishali station officer Rai Singh Beniwal said.
The victim, who hails for Haryana, had alleged that that her husband had colluded with the accused who had sexually exploited her.
