Jaipur : A government hospital doctor was on Sunday arrested for allegedly taking a bribe for operating on a patient in Ajmer.
The accused doctor, P C Agrawal, posted in a hospital in Ajmer, had allegedly demanded Rs 2,500, from a man for operating on his niece, who was suffering from some abdomen ailment.
He had taken Rs 1,300 earlier and was arrested while he was accepting the rest of the amount, Anti-corruption bureau officials said.
In another incident, a police constable, Shiv Singh, posted in Chanderia Police station in Chittorgarh district, was today nabbed while taking a bribe to begin a probe in a case, they said.
