Jaipur:
The Rajasthan government has made wearing of helmet compulsory for pillion riders from March 1, said an official.
The traffic police has started a programme to make aware and educate the two-wheeler drivers in the city to wear helmets. From March 1 onwards, the police will penalise pillion riders not wearing helmets, it said.
Presently, only two-wheeler drivers have to wear helmets.
