Jaipur : Three kg gold was abandoned in a dustbin by some passenger of a flight from Dubai or staffer of an airline at the Sanganer airport in Jaipur today.
Three bars of gold, weighing around three kg, were found in a dustbin near the washroom before the customs clearance counter, officials said.
It is suspected that a passenger or staffer of an airline dumped it due to fear of being caught, Deputy Commissioner of Customs H S Meena told PTI.
"By the time our staffers found the bars, most of the passengers had gone out of the airport.
We rounded up ten passengers but they were later given clearance. We have detained a couple of suspected airline staffers and they are being interrogated," he said.
