Jaipur: Two men, running a cricket betting racket, were arrested and a cash of Rs 39,630 along with some latest electronic gadgets was recovered from Vaishali Nagar area here, police said today.
The accused were arrested yesterday from Chitrakoot area, they said.
Two laptops, a printer, a calculator, TV monitors, voice recorder, 47 mobile handsets, 17 chargers, one charger box, three data card, two remotes, four registers and a diary were recovered from them, the police said.
The duo was booked under various sections of IPC for gambling and cheating people, they said
The accused identified as Vikram Rajpal and Jaiprakash hailing from Churu were produced before a local court which sent them to three days of police custody, Investigating Officer Dalveer Singh said.
They have been involved in cricket betting for many years, and on the day of raid they were betting for 20/20 match being played between England and Australia, Singh said.
