Jaipur: Income Tax department has seized unaccounted cash to the tune of Rs 34 lakh from an air passenger who arrived in Jaipur from Guwahati at Sanganer airport.
Following information from the department's Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) - Guwahati, the passenger was intercepted by the AIU-Jaipur at Sanganer airport yesterday.
"The passenger could not explain the source of the sum following which the cash was seized," Additional Director (Investigation) Sanjiv Singh said today.
He was traveling from Guwahati to Jaipur.
