Jaipur: A 31-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped by six persons from C-scheme and forcibly taken to a bank to withdraw around Rs 5 lakh and hand over the cash to the kidnappers on Friday. Police have registered a case and matter is under investigation.
According to police, Rajesh was standing near Udyog Bhawan in C-scheme area when six persons came in a car and allegedly kidnapped him. The kidnappers including Pushpendra Singh and his aide took him to a bank in Durgapura and forced his to withdraw around Rs 5 lakh. They then thrashed him and took away cash before dumping him near Khasakothi Circle.
Police said that charges of kidnapping could not be ascertained but preliminary investigation revealed that both the parties had dispute over cash payments. Rajesh, who worked as insurance agent and investor, had invested around Rs 11 lakh of Singh's relative in a company. But the investment turned into loss after company was closed and Singh demanded his money back from Rajesh.
Ashok Nagar police said that Singh and his supporters might have picked Rajesh to recover their money but matter is under investigation. Police have recovered car but Singh and his supporters are absconding, efforts are on to nab them.
Meanwhile in another incident, a boy was forcibly taken away in a car and beaten up by one Bablu, by son of petrol pump owner, in C-scheme locality on Friday. According to police, Kapil alias Golu had friendship with Bablu's sister but his was not acceptable to girl's family. Few days back, duo had eloped and girl's family was upset.
On Friday, Kapil's brother Abhishek was passing from Krishna Marg in C-scheme when Bablu and his friends forcibly took him in his car. Bablu thrashed Abhishek and threatened him of dire consequences if his brother Kapil tried to talk to former's sister. Ashok Nagar police said that case has been registered and matter is under investigation.
