Jaipur:
A four-year-old-girl was kidnapped and strangled to death for ransom in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district, police said.
Megha, daughter of a businessman, was abducted yesterday by three persons while she was playing outside her house in Surajbadh locality.
Her father received a ransom call for Rs 5 lakh which he refused, police said. "The abductors sensed the danger of being traced by the police following which they killed the girl and her body was found near a drain today," SHO Kaman, Omprakash, told PTI.
"We nabbed the accused identified as Praveen, Pankaj and Yogesh. Praveen, known to the victim's father, took the girl to a nearby place under the pretext of buying her chocolate.
He was later joined by the other two after which they trio took Megha to an isolated place," he said.
