Jaipur:
Statements of five persons including the guard and the supervisor at the official bungalow of former Rajasthan minister Babu Lal Nagar were recorded today in connection with a rape case against him.
Sleuths of Criminal Investigation Department-Crime Branch (CID-CB) spent the whole day in recording the statements of a guard, a supervisor and three others, a police spokesman said.
Nagar is to appear tomorrow for a medical examination as per the letter written by him to the CID crime branch.
Nagar, who had been served three notices by the CID-CB to report to its office for a medical examination and recording of his statement, has reportedly gone on a pilgrimage, his son told the probe agency.
"Nagar is still untraceable and his location was not disclosed by his family members," a crime branch source said.
Nagar resigned as the state minister for dairy following an FIR against him by a woman alleging that he had raped and assaulted her at his official bungalow on September 11 taking her there on the pretext of giving a job.
53-year-old Nagar, however, had denied the allegations, saying his political rivals had "framed" him ahead of the Assembly elections.
