Jaipur:
A woman who was allegedly raped by a doctor fainted outside Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's residence after heated arguments with officials who stopped her from going inside, police said.
The woman from Bikaner wanted to meet the Chief Minister to demand action against the doctor, but was stopped by officials, leading to a heated argument after which she fainted, they said.
She was rushed to a government hospital for examination. Police said that her condition was normal.
The woman had visited the Chief Minister at an earlier public hearing on May 7 and alleged that her case was not being probed properly, they said.
The CM had then transferred her case to CID Jodhpur branch, they said.
She again came to meet the Chief Minister in regard to the issue, but officers told her that her case had been transferred to CID-CB Jodhpur and her appeal was not pending at the Chief Minister's level.
This led to a heated argument during which she fainted, and was rushed to hospital, they said.
