Jaipur:
A college student today poured kerosene and threatened to immolate himself outside the main gate of Rajasthan University in Jaipur, accusing the varsity administration of being ignorant towards his grievance.
Sheesh Ram Gujjar, who had reappeared for an exam after failing in the previous attempt, accused the university staff of not declaring his result despite repeated requests, police said.
Seeking an immediate attention, Gujjar climbed on the main gate, poured petrol and threatened to set himself ablaze, they said.
He, however, was pacified and brought down.
Police later took him to the Registrar who assured him of action in this regard, police said, adding that Gujjar was later taken into custody for attempting suicide.
