Jaipur : A 60-year-old woman was today crushed to death by a truck on Delhi-Jaipur highway, following which locals blocked the route for over an hour and set the vehicle on fire in Kotputli town of Jaipur.
Vidya Devi was killed after she was hit by a mini-truck while crossing the highway, police said.
Senior police officers including ASP Alok Singhal met the protesters and assured action against the accused driver. Following this, the locals called off the protest.
