Jammu:
Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday night said that the entire expenses spent on the treatment of the woman, who was injured in an acid attack on Wednesday, will be borne by the state government.
"Entire expenses on her specialised treatment outside the state in any hospital will be borne by the Jammu and Kashmir Government," Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma said in a statement in Jammu.
Instructions in this regard have been passed on to the concerned, the minister maintained.
A 30-year-old school teacher suffered injuries when she was attacked with acid by a man in the city's posh locality on Srinagar airport road on Wednesday.
Expressing concern over the tragic incident, the minister said that such incidents are "inhuman" and "unfortunate" and need to be condemned by one and all.
He said the culprits indulging in such incidents deserve severe punishment.
