Srinagar-Jammu highway closed after fresh snowfall

Jammu: The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway was closed for traffic on Friday morning following fresh snowfall in the Kashmir Valley.

Slippery conditions on the highway in view of the snowfall led the authorities to close the highway. It is the only road link between Kashmir and the rest of the country.

Among the areas which received snowfall were Srinagar, Qazigund, the gateway town to Kashmir Valley near Jawahar tunnel, Pahalgam and Gulmarg.
