Jammu: A woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a canal in Jammu along with her two children, one of whom survived, police said.
Sunita Devi along with her six-year-old daughter, Neha, and five-year-old son, Surya, jumped into the canal in the Barnai area in Jammu on Wednesday, police said.
While Surya was saved by Army jawans, who were standing nearby, the mother and the daughter could not be saved, they said.
Sunita, who hailed from Dehradun, lived in Barnai area of Jammu with her husband and two children.
A case has been registered and an investigation is under way, police said.
