Youth injured in firing in Jammu

Jammu: A youth was injured when he was allegedly shot at by his friend following a dispute over the theft of the former's money here, police said today.

Shammi Singh allegedly stole Rs 50000 from his friend Sarwar Khan, working with a share market company, in Dabbad village of Bishnah teshil yesterday when they were travelling together, officials said.

When Sarwar went to Shammi's house last night to confront him there was an altercation following which the latter shot Sarwar, they said.

A case has been registered against Shammi who is absconding, they said.
