GDS Recruitment, Assam Postal Circle
India Post has released job notification for recruitment to
gramin dak sevak post under Assam postal circle. Only those candidates who have cleared 10th standard from approved State Boards and are in the age group of 18-40 years are eligible to appear for the exam. Candidates should note that those who have passed 10th class examination in first attempt will be treated as meritorious against those passed compartmentally. In addition to this candidates must also have adequate computer knowledge. Candidates will be required to furnish basic computer training certificate for at least 60 days from a recognized Computer Training Institute.

Assam Postal Circle, GDS recruitment highlightsCandidates upon selection shall furnish security amount of Rs 25000 in the event of engagement and Rs 10000 for other categories.
After selection candidates "shall not engage in any activity with any outside agency which would be detrimental to the business or interest of the Post Office."
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the automatic generated merit list as per the rules based on the candidate's online submitted applications
Candidates with higher educational qualification will not be given extra weightage. Only marks obtained in 10th class exam will be considered for finalizing the selection.
