The Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs has invited applications for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer, Grade II/ Executive. This is a General Central Service, Group 'C' (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) post. The pay scale for this post is Rs 44900-142400. There will be a special security allowance which will be 20% of basic pay in addition to other government allowances along with a cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays subject to a ceiling of 30 days.
"The post involves All India Service liability. Therefore, the candidates willing to serve anywhere in India only need to apply," the IB has said.
A total of 2,000 vacancies will be filled.
The minimum educational qualification required for this post is graduation. The minimum age limit for this job is 18 years and the maximum is 27 years.
"Appointment to the post will be temporary. However, appointment in permanent capacity will depend on various factors governing permanent appointment in such post in force at that time," the IB has said.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of an online test, a descriptive type test and interview. Candidates appearing in interviews may be subject to Psychometric/Aptitude Test which will be a part of interview.
