New Delhi: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade II Executive Exam's tier 1 session was held today. The IB ACIO recruitment 2017 is being conducted for a total number of vacancies of 1300 including 130 vacancies reserved for ex-servicemen. The IB ACIO tier 1 exam consisted of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQ), divided into 4 parts containing 25 questions of 1 marks each. The admit card for IB ACIO tier 1 exam was released on September.

Several private portals have come up with the IB ACIO tier 1 exam analysis and answer keys. So far, there is no information on IB ACIO tier 1 exam's answer keys.

IB ACIO tier 1 exam included these four parts:

a) General Awareness
b) Quantitative aptitude
c) Logical/analytical ability
d) English language.

The IB ACIO tier 1 exam was held on 33 including Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Shimla and Vizag.

According to the IB ACIO notification, there will be negative marking of one fourth mark for each wrong answer in Tier-I. There will be no negative marking in IB ACIO tier 2 exam. The notification also said that, no marks would be awarded for an un-attempted question. Mobile Phones and other electronic gadgets were banned within the premises of the examination centres.

Only those candidates would be called for Tier-II exam who come up to a certain standard in Tier 1. Tier 2 exam is scheduled to be held on January 7 next year. For Tier 2 exam, there will be a minimum cut off marks of 33%.

The date, time and centre of Tier 2 would be intimated to the successful candidates through the application portal as well as Email ID provided at the time of online registration.

On the basis of their combined performance in Tier 1 and Tier 2, the candidates would be short listed for the interview.

Tier-II exam and interviews would be conducted at a centre by clubbing the candidates of nearby centres.

Based on the combined performance in Tier 1, Tier 2 and interview, the candidates would be short listed for final selection subject to successful completion of their Character and Antecedent verification followed by medical examination.
