New Delhi: The much awaited IBPS PO Prelims 2017 has begun today. The exam was held in four shifts at various exam centres across the nation. For all the candidates who are yet to appear for the examination on 8, 14 and 15 here is today's question paper analysis. Based on the expert opinion given by Mr Anil Nagar, CEO & Co-founder Adda247, candidates who took the exam today can assess their performance, roughly. 'The level of today's examination was Moderate to Difficult. The 3rd shift had some changes in reasoning and quant section when compared to the previous 2nd shift,' says Mr Anil Nagar.

English Language (Moderate to Difficult)
The level of English Language was moderate to difficult. The topic of reading comprehension, in the third shift, was related to eCommerce. There were 2 questions of Antonyms and 1 question of synonym with the passage. The level of Error Detection and Phrase Replacement questions were Moderate, maximum error related questions were from the subject-verb agreement.

Quantitative Aptitude (Moderate to Difficult)
For the first and second shifts, the pattern of Quantitative Aptitude questions asked was quite similar; in third shift there were questions of Quadratic Equation in Quant Section instead of Number Series. The level of quantitative aptitude section was Moderate. If you are yet to appear for IBPS exam, the first and most basic tip to help you clear quantitative aptitude section's cut off is that you should work on your calculation speed. Data interpretation and discount topics were tough while questions from time and work, age problems, profit and loss, compound interest and average topics were of moderate level.

Reasoning Ability (Moderate)
Bankers adda rates reasoning section to be of moderate difficulty level. Reasoning section of fist and third shift was similar in pattern but in the second shift instead of Syllogism, there were questions of coding-decoding. There were 4 puzzles and Seating Arrangement: Linear (2 Variable), Circular (1 Variable - in and out arrangement), Day and Color (2 Variable) and Box and Floor (2 Variable). Questions from inequalities and blood relation were also of moderate level.

'This year candidates can expect the cut off of IBPS PO Prelims 2017 to fall on a lower side when compared to last year's cut off,' said Mr Anil Nagar.
